A Viewer for Windows, ESP32 Projects, Cast, NotifyOnDemand, Push2Run and SetVol

Hi,

I want to use push2run without ifttt since recently ifttt have made the free account limited to 2 appletes. I don't want to buy the subscription. Please help me so that I can control Push2Run via google assistant without IFTTT for free.

I know of no way to use just Google to issue a voice command to trigger Push2Run.

This is really too bad, because when Push2Run was first released IFTTT offered a free account with less restrictions and Google provided for variable text which offered much more functionality.

However, if you have an iPhone / iPad you can use Siri and Push2Run without the need for IFTTT.

Alternatively, if you don't have an iPhone, you can use your Android phone, Alexa, and the following skill (not needing IFTTT):

Also, I notice Home Assistant is putting a strong focus on voice to text this year, so there may be something to come out of that without the need for IFTTT, but right now for it to work with Google it seems to require a Home Assistant cloud subscription. As Home Assistant supports MQTTT, as does Push2Run - there may be away to use Home Assistant, MQTT and Push2Run together without IFTTT - although I haven't tested that as I don't have a Home Assistant cloud subscription myself.

If anyone reading this post has more information about Home Assistant / Home Assistant cloud in this regards I would appreciate you chiming in.

In any case, from my end I am keeping Push2Run free with no plans to make it into a subscription service - which I hope will help.

Alexa does not work with IFTTT anymore.

I'm using now to shut down the PC and my two monitors Alexa, Broadlink IR Universal remote and an Olidata IR Receiver. I guess any Windows Media Center Remote control and IR Receiver will do the job.

Olidata Remote control is designed for the old Windows Media Center. The On/Off button is still working with Windows 11.

Use any Broadlink remote control template and realearn the On / Off button with the Olidata Remote Control. Test it with the Olidata IR Receiver. Rename the Broadlink template "PC" (or any other word).

Then create an Alexa routine:
When you say "Alexa, turn computer off."
Alexa will:
Power off PC (or your word)
Power off monitors

I'm using IKEA ÅSKVÄDER On/Off switch to power off the two monitors.

I'm using an Alexa skill to turn on the PC via WOL.

However, the great news, is that there is now a free Amazon Alexa skill that you can use with Push2Run that doesn't require IFTTT and in fact gives you even more functionality than you had before with IFTTT!
