Initial setup not working

Post by agr8lemon »

Hello!
I'm hoping someone can assist me here. I've followed all the step but am unable to get this working.

I have setup P2R in Pushbullet, in fact I see the message "Pushbullet connection is good" on the bottom of the P2R window.
When I ask GH to tell my computer to open the calculator, it responds with the correct message.

I'm just not seeing any activity on my computer. The session log is blank, but if I right click the Calculator card and select "run" it works as expected.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

If you are not seeing anything in the session log, the push is not getting thru to your computer.

Can you please double check steps 14 thru 20 at https://www.push2run.com/setup.html

Hi,

I got exactly the same problem. I have went through the setup again, checked each step but no change. Google Home reads back the command but then nothing happens. Manually I can run the command, the calculator starts.
If I delete "Push2Run" at the beginning of the Title at the step 18 I got a Pushbullet notification although.

Maybe I should run Push2Run in administrator mode? I have Windows 10 64 bit.

You should not need to run the program in admin mode for it to work. Also, I too use Windows 10 64bit - so that is not the issue.

Are you sure you created an IFTTT card with a text ingredient, and that the IFTTT Trigger 'What do you want to say?' field ends with a $

Also, earlier you said, the session log is blank. When you first start the program you should at least see three lines similar to the ones below in the session log ...

2018-11-04 19:33:47.183 - Started

2018-11-04 19:33:47.480 - Network status is up

2018-11-04 19:33:48.985 - Connection with Pushbullet established

do you see that?

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions!

I found out what was going on an how to fix it.

I was looking at the If This Than That log and found that PushBullet was replying back saying the account has been inactive for too long. I've had a PB account for a long time, but have not used it in well over a year.

I installed PB on my phone again then sent my phone a message from the PB website.

Tried Push2Run again, this time it worked perfectly.

I hope this helps some of you.

I have copy the session log here:

2018-11-05 17:59:03.399 - Started

2018-11-05 17:59:03.687 - Network status is up

2018-11-05 17:59:06.179 - Connection with Pushbullet established

It is OK I think.

Yes, there is a $ symbol at the end.

I have just tried to say the command to the Google Home and it is confirming it and tells me what I wrote in the "What do you want the Assistant to say in response?" field. After that in the session log I still see only this 3 lines. ..... I have Kaspersky Internet Security. Can it be a problem?

I use Kaspersky too, so I doubt that is the problem.

Please take a look at agr8lemon post above, could that be your issue too?
