If you hold down the [Alt] key while clicking on the Sharpen control, a pop-up window appears which allows you to change the sharpening matrix.
The default is:
-1 -1 -1
-1 9 -1
-1 -1 -1
However, you are welcome to set your own, for example:
0 -1 0
-1 5 -1
0 -1 0
