opening games that requires 2 launchers

Post by moshing »

Hi, I would like to ask for some help regarding the title stated.

I've been able to create a push 2 run card on opening Valorant which needs a riot launcher. I would like to add another game which is GTA on Steam which needs to open up Steam Client Bootstrapper (I think) or something like that, and Rockstar launcher to be able to successfully run the game. Is that somehow possible?

it covers a couple of issues, but one is launching a program from steam

please let me know if it helped.

I don't think it helps since we're opening different programs. In my case when I only add open"D:\Games\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\GTA5.exe" and nothing in the start directory, it says that "the action was run, but it appears to have failed." so I've inputted "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam" in the start directory in order to run it from steam but whenever I run the command, it is completed by Push2Run but pops out an error "Unrecoverable fault, please restart the game" and the same thing happens when I replace it with the location of the social club launcher. I think that I need to start both the steam and the social club launcher to be able to run the game without any errors.

Ok, I did some googling and found this page which details Steam command line parameters:
https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wik ... s#Examples

I was then able to get Push2Run to open up a Steam game for me using its appid.

To find the game's appid, I went here: https://steamdb.info/
and search by the name of your game. In my case, I searched for "Chess Ultra". When "Chess Ultra" appeared in the list of search results, I clicked on it and the page which opened up listed my game's appid as 518060

I then set Push2Run up as follows:

Listen for: * chess
Open: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe
Start directory: C:\Program Files (x86)
Parameters: -applaunch 518060

and with that Push2Run started the game just fine.

I don't know if that will work in your case, however could you please give it a try and let me know if it helped?

Great, glad to have helped.

If you get a chance, please pass on the good word about the program!
