Program shuts down
Program shuts down
I've installed the Push2run software, setup IFTTT and Dropbox. When I tell Google to open the calculator it replies but the calculator doesn't open. I run the calculator from the Push2run app on my PC and it works. When I try to edit the calculator routine then the Push2run program just shuts down. Any ideas?
Re: Program shuts down
Yes, that was my bad. Please download the program again, ideally from another browser in case something is cached somewhere, and reinstall it. All your settings will be saved and the problem should be fixed.
Re: Program shuts down
Thanks for the help, the software now lets me edit.
My next problem is I can't get the calculator to start.
I've triple checked all the lines in IFTTT, Dropbox folder has been created, when I tell GH to start the calculator GH replies as expected however I don't see a text file being created in the dropbox folder (https://www.dropbox.com/home/Apps/Push2Run)
I've attached some screen shots
The settings are as follows
C:\Users\Ron PC\Dropbox\Apps\Push2Run\
Command.txt
Push2Run_RONPC-PC
Thanks again for the help.

Re: Program shuts down
ok - could you please show me how you set up the dropbox part of the ifttt applet.
Also, what are you seeing you in your Push2Run session log?
Thanks, Rob

Re: Program shuts down
So the IFTTT tells me the applet has never run and there is a problem with GA. Looks like a problem connecting to GA, I've unlinked my account at IFTTT then linked it again, that didn't help.

Re: Program shuts down
ok - that IFTTT message is not of much help.
Can you please post a screenshot of the other half of the IFTTT applet, the part that set up the Dropbox side of things?
Also, are you using the same gmail id for your google home, your ifttt and to link to your dropbox account?

Re: Program shuts down
IFTTT, Dropbox and Google Assistant are all using the same Gmail account.

Re: Program shuts down
Thank you, your last screenshot was very helpful.
I saw it, said to myself that could not possibly be it, but tested it and recreated your problem.
The dropbox folder path on your IFTTT card should be:
Apps/Push2Run
not
Apps\Push2run
as you have it.
The direction of the slash is all it is.
As noted above, I ran a test the way you have it now, and the other way.
The way you have now does not work, the other way does.
When it doesn't work I get the same error message as you did.
I'll put an extra note in the help documentation.
Hope this helps.

Re: Program shuts down
Thanks, that worked. Such a simple thing that I overlooked.
